solving intricate international mysteries. They are all
symbolized by playing cards: The American weapons expert Jaimie
Grisbee is the Queen of Spades, the British journalist Amanda
Wenn is the Queen of Hearts, and the Asian martial arts champion
Laurence Tonkin is the Queen of Clubs.
The series' title Brelan des Dames can mean
either The Ladies' Travels or The Three of a Kind Ladies in
English.
