MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1968*. Stopped in 1971 after 22 issues.

The series describes some of the numerous run-ins the two starring characters have with both their surroundings and each other. The duo consists of the tall Bud Abbott who plays the straight man, and the short Lou Costello who plays the funny man.

The series is a spinoff from a series of TV comedy presentations that ran from 1951 to 1954 under the title The Abbott and Costello Show.
