MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1959. Stopped in 1964 after 30 issues*.

The main character is Thomas 'Tommy' Troy who possesses a ring which renders him with the very diverse powers of all insects combined. Examples are flight, walking on walls, fantastic eyesight, acrobatic agility, and enormous strength. As part of his special costume he also carries a so-called Buzz Gun, that dispenses non-lethal darts of stun rays.

* The main series was also published under other titles such as The Fly from 1959 to 1960 (6 issues), Fly Man from 1965 to 1966 (8 issues), and The Fly from 1983 to 1984 (9 issues).
