MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2004. Stopped in 2005 after 8 issues.

The main character is Hitoshi Kōbe, a student at Menjō High School and an underachiever in all fields except one; he is a genius as a computer programmer. So far he has created multiple intelligent programs, but number 30 beats them all, as he has created a cute girl-like robot with artificial intelligence. Kōbe calls her Saati, which is the typical Japanese way of pronouncing the English number Thirty. And if this is not enough, a freak lightning strike materializes her into the real world, where she becomes an important part of Kōbe's daily life.

The title's abbreviation A.I. is a play on words, as it can both mean Love (Ai) in Japanese as well as Artificial Intelligence.
