Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1952. Stopped in 1966 after 118 issues*.

The series contains a mixture of stories featuring diverse American soldiers fighting in different wars.

* A second run was published from 1977 to 1980 (26 issues) and simply titled Men of War.
