MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1956. Stopped during the 1970s, but was revived shortly in 2006.

The all dominating character is the British Royal Air Force Wing Commander Robert 'Battler' Hereward Britton, who fights the Axis powers in Europe, Africa, and Asia during World War 2. Britton's missions take place either in numerous Spitfire fighter planes, from where he usually emerges as the winner of the dogfights, or on ground in perilous enemy territory, from where he fights to return to England.

The series was published in a small format measuring 105x148mms (A6), which is normally referred to as Small Press Comic (British English) and Minicomic (American English).
