CREATOR

The main characters form a married couple which we follow in humoristic-pessimistic events. Although the series is humorous it also has a pessimistic undertone, because the couple feel trapped in their marriage and daily lives.
In many of the strips Sterrett used a special method to emphasize this; every strip consisted of six panels and sometimes he would use the first three to show a certain action taking place when the couple was courting, and then, in the last three, repeat the action when the couple was long married. Two very different events were the result!

The series - that was partly a continuation of Sterrett's older series Before and After - was first named Sweethearts and Wives but after two years it received its final title.
