Personal dates: Founded in 1941 by Alfred Harvey, who was soon joined by his brothers Robert and Leon. Stopped in 1994.

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1946. Stopped in 1963 after 66 issues.

The starring character is Linda Turner, who went from being a Hollywood starlet to stunt woman to  - superheroine under the alias of Black Cat. She uses her considerable athletic skills to subdue dangerous criminals and fight subversive spies in the film city.

Black Cat must not be confused with Marvel's or VIZ's different characters by the same name.

The series used several taglines such as Hollywood's Glamorous Detective Star and The Darling of Comics. Furthermore, the titles were sometimes changed into reading Black Cat Mystery or Black Cat Western.
