Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1984. Stopped in 1986 after 31 issues.

The starring character is Daniel 'Dan' Patrick Cassidy, a martial arts superhero with diverse gadgets to help him in his encounters with multiple supervillains; servo-motors for increased strength, mini-gils for underwater breathing, self-repairing body armour, and rocket engines to gain high speeds. He also carries a magic trident.
