MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1986. Stopped in 1988 after 25 issues, but has been followed by several other versions, of which the one from 2007 to 2011 was the longest (49 issues).

Michael Jon Carter is an athletic young man with a burning desire to be a superhero. This causes him to steal diverse superhero artefacts from a museum in Metropolis (Superman's hometown) in order to become famous.
Carter's nickname in his high school football years was Booster, but as a superhero he preferred to be called Goldstar. Later on, he has been known as Booster Gold, though.
