MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1945.

The title character is an anthropomorphic rabbit, who lives happily in the woods with his many friends. Unfortunately, he is forever hunted by Brer Bear and Brer Fox, two fumbling characters that are always outsmarted by Brer Rabbit in the end.

The character originates from a few 1945 newspaper strips and the 1946 animated Disney feature film titled Song of the South.
