MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1902. Stopped in 1921.

The series was a sunday newspaper strip, in which a family consisting of mother, father, Buster, and sister Mary Jane occurred. Only two characters were recurring: Buster Brown is a slightly mischievous boy (don't let his girly looks and ditto dress fool you!), who wanders around in all sorts of locations and usually winds up in various (good and bad) situations arisen from his general curiosity. At his side is Tige, a commenting bulldog, who sometimes acts as Buster's sentry and conscience.
