Name: Eastern Color Printing (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1928 by William B. Pape (1899-1974).  Stopped in 2002.

Comments: The corporation published comic books from 1933 to 1955. From then on it printed comic books for other companies. The corporation never used a logo on their comic book front covers.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1951. Stopped in 1953 after 12 issues.

The starring character is Buster Crabbe, who travels diverse exotic locations often accompanied by his sidekick Whiskers. The series is built over the athlete and actor Clarence 'Buster' Linden Crabbe II (1908-1983), who played in several  films and television series.
