MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1989*. Stopped in 1990 after 13 issues, but has been revived several times since then.

This manga series tells about a romantic Space pirate who keeps on fighting even when Earth has surrendered to an alien invasion fleet. A few of Harlock's helpers on board his starship Arcadia are Baron Darghund the dubious boyhood friend, Emeraldas the pirate Queen, Kei the top officer, Miime the advisor, and Tsuyoshi Daiba the scientist.

* The title character as such first appeared in 1953 in Adventures of a Honeybee, and was made a lead character from 1978 in a series titled Space Pirate Captain Harlock.
