Personal dates: Founded in Sweden in 1950 as a comic book subdivision of the publishing company Bonnier AB and has since then changed name several times (the most well known older name is probably Serieförlaget). Sold to Egmont in 1997.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 1989 after 12 issues.

This Swedish series takes place in a fabled place above the sky, where the Care Bears (Krambjörnarna in Swedish) are looking down on Earth in search of children to help. The cuddly bears, who live in the castle Care-a-Lot, have the abilities to infuse love and happy thoughts into the kids.
