MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1991. Stopped in 1998 after 7 issues.

The title character is portrayed as the typical stern and understated Briton earning his living as a private investigator of curious and inexplicable cases during the 1930s. He is remindful of author Arthur Conan Doyle's famous private detective Sherlock Holmes as for both stature and working methods, and he even lives in London's Baker Street.

The series was partly transformed into an animated TV series that ran for 26 episodes during 1996.
