The series premiered in 1952*. Stopped in 1959 after 364 issues.

The issues contain action stories featuring lesser and better known characters such as Buffalo Bill, Dick Barton, Shorty, Strongbow, and The Sky Explorers.

* The first run was published from 1949 (517 issues) alongside with a similar series usually just referred to as the new version (122 issues).
