The series premiered in 1951. Stopped in 1993 (despite the great span in time only 6 albums were issued).

The title character starts off as a ship's boy onboard a British warship during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. He participates in the defeat of the Spanish armada and serves as a spy for the Queen.
