CREATOR

The character of Corto Maltese is a laconic sea captain whose adventures we follow during the first two decades of the 20th century. He travels all over the world, fights pirates in the high seas, and gets entangled in several bloody events (World War I, the Russian-Japanese war, and the Russian revolution).

In the stories Pratt lets Maltese meet a number of real people such as the Russian monk Rasputin and the authors Jack London and Ernest Hemmingway.
