Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2007. Stopped in 2008 after 51 issues, but has been revived many times in shortlived publications since then.

The series is a continuation of 52, and we follow how several superheroes' paths cross each other's. The numbering began with #51 counting down to #1 thus following the weeks of a whole year in reversed order.

From #26 the full title of the series changed to Countdown Final Crisis.
