MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 1991 after 15 issues.

The series is a parody on the famous vampire novel Dracula set in Transylvania. The title character lives in a gloomy castle with his butler Igor and the maid Nanny. The count is quite different to the book's character; he is a vegetarian, he is often cowardly, he is afraid of his servants, and he dislikes living in his dark castle. Although he has to keep his expected facade, he is basically goodnatured and likes to help people.

The series is a spinoff from a British animated TV series that ran from 1988 to 1993 (65 episodes).
