MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1946*. Stopped in 1950 after 8 issues, but the character continued for several years since then.

The title character is a big, blond-headed boxing star with a heart of gold. At his side he has his girlfriend Tessie and his friends Happy and Stubby.

* The title character was first published in Joe's Car from 1944, and he soon proved so popular that the series changed name after him. In 1961 the title changed to Davy Jones still featuring Kayoe.
