MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1956. Stopped in 1962 after 27 issues*.

Initially, the title character was a completely unrestrained, egotistic, and hyperactive duck, who had no regard for others. Over the years he has mellowed a little, and his temper tantrums are further apart. His arch-rival in many of the stories is Bugs Bunny.

The series is based on an animated short cartoon series that ran regularly from 1937 to 1968. After that a few short cartoons have been published erratically until today.

* The series changed title to Daffy Duck after 14 issues.
