Comments: Waugh took over already in 1934 when Caniff started Terry and the Pirates, and he stuck with the series to the end except for a few years where other artists participated.

The character of Dickie is a lively teenager who goes on numerous adventures. He is accompanying a friend of his father's, a writer and fortune hunter named Dan Flynn, who takes Dickie on an educational trip around the world.
