Name: Egmont Group (worldwide comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in Denmark in 1878 by Egmont Harald Petersen (1860-1914) and has since then changed name several times (the most well known older name is probably Gutenberghus). Ongoing.

Comments: The corporation has always focussed on childrens' literature. It has branches all over the world, but the pages in this site are all examples from the Danish main  branch.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1999. Stopped in 2007 after 8 issues.

This is an adventure series featuring diverse genres such as biopunk, dark fantasy, gothic science fiction, philosophy, and science fantasy. The stories follow different plots, but the main plotline is that of a supreme technopriest leading 500,000 followers to the promised galaxy via diverse obstacles. Some of the many recurring characters are Albino, Almagro, Onyx, Panepha, and Tinigrifi. 

The initial English title of the series is The Technopriests.
