MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1998*. Stopped in 1999 after 12 issues*.

This is a humurous fantasy series following the monkey-tailed alien Goku (real name Kakarot), who ventures on long journeys in order to collect 7 scattered Dragonballs (also spelled Dragon Balls in other series). Once collected The Eternal Dragon will grant the finder a special wish. But many others, especially villainous types, are after the artifacts, so Goku has to be very alert.

* Initially published in Japan from 1984 to 1995 (519 chapters in 42 volumes). In English the series as such has been published in numerous issues, of which some are titled Dragon Ball Z. The series presented on this page is the first published in English.

The stories must not be confused with the series Midnight Eye, in which another Goku plays the starring role.
