Name: Semic Press (subsidiary of the worldwide Egmont Group).
Personal dates: Founded in Sweden in 1950 as a comic book subdivision of the publishing company Bonnier AB and has since then changed name several times (the most well known older name is probably Serieförlaget). Sold to Egmont in 1997.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1973. Stopped in 1974 after 9 issues.

This Swedish series is loosely built on characters from the famous Jungle Book by the British author Rudyard Kipling. It features the boy Toomai and his elephant Kala on perilous adventures in India's jungles.
