MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1934.

The title character, who is a goose and not a duck, is a cousin of Donald Duck. The two cousins are not close in any way; Gladstone is followed by extreme luck often at the expense of poor Donald, and if this is not enough he is also wooing Daisy Duck, Donald's girlfriend.

The stories were/are written by an overwhelming number of artists. Examples: Carl Barks (1901-2000), Guido Martina (1906-1991), Carl Robert Fallberg (1915-1996), Donald 'Don' Ragnvald Christensen (1916-2006), Victor 'Vic' Lockman (1927-), Per-Erik Hedman (1959-).
