Disney created two major funny animal universes of great significance - the duck universe and the mouse universe. They both appear in several types of media.
The duck universe is primarily represented by Donald Duck who lives in Duckburg and is surrounded by family members and a wide cast of secondary characters. The stories are not restricted to taking place in Duckburg; in fact, the primary characters often travel all over the globe. One of the primary characters is Grandma Duck who is most often seen tending to her farm - as well as to her inept assistant Gus Goose.

The stories were written by several artists. Examples: Carl Barks (1901-2000), Carl Robert Fallberg (1915-1996), Donald 'Don' Ragnvald Christensen (1916-2006), Robert 'Bob' Gregory (1921-2003), Victor 'Vic' Lockman (1927-).
