MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1950.

The title character is a goodnatured but thoroughly lazy bone-idler with a gluttonous appetite, who lives on Grandma Duck's farm. He tends to sleep most of the day instead of working, but he is very alert around the mealtimes.

The stories were/are written by an overwhelming number of artists. Examples: Carl Robert Fallberg (1915-1996), Donald 'Don' Ragnvald Christensen (1916-2006), Victor 'Vic' Lockman (1927-), Abramo Barosso (1931-2013), Ivan Saidenberg (1940-2009), Nino Russo (1960-).
