MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1952.

Disney created two major funny animal universes of great significance - the duck universe and the mouse universe. They both appear in several types of media.
A primary character of the duck universe is Gyro Gearloose, who lives in Duckburg where he functions as a brilliant inventor. At his side he sometimes has a small metal stickman normally referred to as Little Helper.

The stories were/are written by an overwhelming number of artists. Examples: Carl Barks (1901-2000), Carl Robert Fallberg (1915-1996), Donald 'Don' Ragnvald Christensen (1916-2006), Victor 'Vic' Lockman (1927-), Jan Kruse (1946-), Frank Jonker (1965-).
