MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1999. Stopped in 2002 after 9 issues, but continued titled Rebound from 2003 to 2007 (additional 18 issues).

The main character is student Nate Torres who dreams of becoming a member of his high school's basketball team. Unfortunately, he lacks most of the necessary skills, tricks, and talents, but slowly he acquires and hones them with the help of good friends.

The initial Japanese series diverges from this American translation on several points; the most striking one is Torres' Japanese name which is Naruse Tōru.
