MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1949. Stopped in 1955 after 31 issues.

The starring character is the carismatic John Wayne, who, travelling the Old West, constantly has to solve new conflicts mostly against villainous types. The series is built over the actor Marion Morrison AKA John Wayne (1907-1979), who played the righteous hero in multiple Westerns.
