Name: Carlsen Comics (European comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in Denmark in 1899 as P.I.B. by Hjalmar Carlsen (1875-1951) and has since then changed name several times. It has subsidiaries in several European countries. Ongoing.

Comments: The corporation has always focussed on childrens' literature from diverse countries. The pages in this site are all examples from the German branch named Carlsen Verlag.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1985. Stopped in 1989 after 11 issues*.

The title character suffers from amnesia, which compels him to search for his own identity in several parts of the world. He is not a talkative man, but he is quite resolute in his actions. Along the way Jonathan is also looking for missing persons in an attempt to get to know more about himself.

* The original French publication has reached 16 issues since then.
