MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 1992 after 12 issues*.

The title character is based on a real historic Numidian king, who was defeated by the Roman armies during the 2nd century before Christ and brought to Rome in chains and left to die from starvation. The stories, however, title him as a prince and lets him escape and attempt to find a new land where he can live in peace.

* The original French publication has reached 16 issues since then.
