Comments: DC (Detective Comics) was started by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in 1934 as a merger between three companies. Later Maxwell 'Max' Charles Gaines became the better known and more influential main editor.

 

 

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1960. Stopped in 1987.

DC's flagships were superheroes with their own comic books such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and several more. When people began to lose interest in the stories DC put together a handful of the superheroes in a series named Justice League. The series proved successful and several other superheroes were added through time.
