The series premiered in
1985. Stopped in 1994.
The starring character is
Raymond Lécluse, who has been stationed at the
Maginot defense line during World War I. After
having returned to his home he is undecided
whether he wishes a career as an author or as a
boxer. He chooses the latter but winds up in the
French foreign legion in order to escape a
manslaughter charge.
The series' French title means Paths
of Glory in English.
