: Buell never contributed much to the series (she stopped working on it completely in 1947), but she had several artists at her disposal from the beginning (the most prominent are mentioned above). Buell was bylined Marge in the panels until 1972.

Little Lulu is a series about childhood in a typical urban neighbourhood. The main character of Lulu is a bright and determined girl who gets into dilemmas which are ususally caused by her own vivid imagination. She is often accompanied by her friend nicknamed Tubby, who later starred in his own series appropriately titled Tubby.

The full title of the series is Marge's Little Lulu.
