MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1989. Stopped the same year after 8 issues, but has been revived several times since then partly titled The Return of Lum.

This comedic and pun-filled series confronts an alien race primarily represented by the horned Princess Lum arriving to Earth in an attempt to overtake it. The aliens offer the Earthlings a sporting chance to take them up in a competition, which will determine the fate of the two parties. A computer randomly selects a generally unlucky student by the name of Ataru Moroboshi to fight for the humans.
Later on, the attractive Lum attends the same high school as Moroboshi, and she collects a large entourage of male admirers on the way much to his initial dismay.

The full title of the Japanese series is Lum Urusey Yatsura, the latter two words are a pun that can mean Annoying Guy in English.
