Personal dates: Founded in 1916 by the brothers Edward (1878-1955) and Albert Wadewitz. Publishing of comic books began in 1932. Stopped in 2001.

: The corporation published most of its comic books via subsidiaries, some of which were Dell, Gold Key, and Whitman.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1946. Stopped in 1982 after 488 issues.

The series contains independent stories featuring multiple of the most popular characters from cartoons, comic books, and films.

This giveaway series was financed by diverse shoe stores such as Simplex as well as diverse department stores such as Sears Roebuck and Co. meaning that many of the issues were published in different front cover versions depending on the store names. Some of the earlier issues are known as Boys' and Girls' March of Comics.
