MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1967.

The title character is a righteous sea captain in the Duck universe, who sails around in his tattered old whaler - often with diverse friends - to faraway and exotic places, where he fights pirates and discovers hidden treasures. The most recurring characters are Porpy Porpoise and Dimwitty Duck as well as Moby's antagonist Emil Eagle.

The stories were/are written by a large number of artists. Examples: Tom Anderson, Karl Dester, Tove Dester, Neville Jason, Jim Kenner, and Vic Lockman.
