MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2006. Stopped in 2008 after 18 issues.

The main character is a Japanese brain surgeon, Kenzō Tenma, who works at the Eisler Memorial Hospital in Düsseldorf, Germany. One day he performs a seemingly successful operation on a boy, Johan Liebert, but he grows up being a psychopath and a serial killer. Unknowingly, Tenma has created a monster, and he tries to track Liebert down.
