Name: Archie Comic Publications, Inc. (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded as MLJ Magazines (the initials of the founders' first names) in 1939 by Maurice Coyne, Louis Silberkleit, and John L. Goldwater, but the name was soon changed. Ongoing.

Comments: The company's lasting name was taken from the immensely popular teenage character Archie, who has always been the company's flagship.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1955. Stopped in 1959 after 23 issues (#5-14 were never published), but was continued titled The Adventures of Pipsqueak until 1960 (6 separate issues).

The main character is the lively, inventive, and slightly mischievous 4-year old boy Pat Smith, who drives his surroundings, especially his parents Mary and Oswald, to despair often quite unintentionally. The series is a clear spinoff of Dennis the Menace.
