MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1964*. Stopped in 1993 after 283 issues.

This quarterly pocket-sized series was aimed at young boys and girls. It features large numbers of interacting anthropomorphic animals, good and villainous, with the bear Placid and the fox Muzo as the title characters. Their roles are laid out in general so that Placid plays the lazy and jolly fool, and Muzo the energetic and serious authority.

* The main characters were first published in 1946.
