The series premiered in 1933. Stopped in 1950.

The series is a detective strip built over a new invention of the time - the radio patrol car. We follow the two police detectives, Pat O'Hara and 'Stutterin'' Sam, in their daily work in the greater Boston area fighting all sorts of crime in fairly accurate realism. They are sometimes working out of uniform so as to blend in with the environment. Later on in the series they were joined by policewoman Molly Day.
During the first years the series was titled Pinkerton JR. (referring to a helpful teenager 'Pinky' Pinkerton), and during the last years the title was Sgt. Pat of Radio Patrol.
