| The series
premiered in 1955. Ric Hochet is a journalist by
profession, but his time is divided between
solving crime mysteries and avoiding murderous
attempts on his person. Hochet - who is an
intelligent and sporty young man - is in constant
contact with the police force led by Sigismond
Bourdon, who rarely is much of a help.
Although onomatopoeically alike the
series must not be confused with Rick O'Shay.
