MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1977*. Stopped in 1985 after 121 issues, but has been revived several times since then.

The title character is sergeant (Sgt.) Frank Rock who fights as infantry man in Easy Company (dogtag #409966) in the European theater during World War 2. Most of the time he seems to be a veritable one-man army, who wins all his battles using any type of weaponry that comes into reach.

* The character as such premiered in 1959, and he was later part of the series Our Army at War, that was the forerunner of the series on this page. The numbering system (starting from #302) was continued from the first series when it stopped.
