MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1939. Stopped in 1942 after 21 issues*, but was continued titled Crime does not Pay.

The series contains several independent action stories featuring different heroic characters. Recurring examples are Captain Battle, Daredevil (from Daredevil Comics), Mister Midnite, Silver Streak, The Claw, and The Saint.

* Three more issues have been published later on; #22 and #23 in 1946, and #24 in 2009.
