MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1987. Stopped in 2014 after 13 issues.

The main character is a tough New York police lieutenant by the name of David Elliot Hanneth Solomon, who lives with his widowed mother in an apartment building. As she is both fragile and religious, he attempts to hide his dangerous occupation from her by dressing up as a clergyman thus giving her the impression that he is a priest. But when going to work he partly covers up his fake outfit in the elevator.

The series' title is an acronym for SOlomon, DAvid.
