Personal dates: Founded in 1941 by Alfred Harvey, who was soon joined by his brothers Robert and Leon. Stopped in 1994.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1955. Stopped in 1980 after 161 issues, but a few spinoffs were made; Spooky Spooktown from 1961 to 1976 (66 issues), and Tuff Ghosts Starring Spooky from 1961 to 1970 (43 issues) are examples.

The starring character, Spooky (dubbed The Tuff Little Ghost), is a minor menace to his neighbourhood as he likes to scare the ordinary mortals by yelling Boo at them, but apart from this slightly anti-social behaviour he is good-natured.
